CavinessArea29d

" Lying between field 29c and the parietal and occipital fields is a narrow field dis- tinctive for its cellular homogeneity and virtual absence of tangential and radial fibers. This field was included with the pos- terior medial cortex as part of RSag by Rose ('29, ' 31) . It formed the medial zone of Krieg's field 18. It differs markedly in its cell and fiber patterns from the lateral sector of both 18 of Krieg and the medial sector of RSag of Rose (29c of the present parcellation). A narrow field lying in this position, but not described, was referred to as 29d by Brodmann ('09), and Brodmann's terminology, i.e. 29d, has been employed for this field in the present parcellation. Here it is included with the posterior me- dial cortex because it may share with 29c connections with the lateral dorsal nucleus of the thalamus (Domesick, '72). "

I am not totally positive that this corresponds to ARA's RSPagl, but I think it does. 29d extends anteriorally until it touches area 6 (the frontal areas), but in fact
