There, paleocortical fields 51 and 28 (Brodmann, '09; Krieg, '46a,b) are continuous with each other below the rhinal fissure. At this transition the claustrum merges with deep- er cellular layers of field 28, and field 13 is continuous with retrohippocampal field 35. The rostral limit of 13, thus defined, is identical to that in Krieg's map; the caudal limit lies caudal to that of Krieg. "
