| bshanks@108 | 8 This project will lead to the discovery of marker genes that will allow drugs and medical interventions to be targeted at specific anatomical structures, opening the door to the new treatments for many diseases. These marker genes will also be useful for histological diagnosis of patients. In addition, by providing a new method to divide organs into regions, this project will significantly advance our understanding of our bodies.
